Description of the Organization and Responsibilities
Del Mar Hills Academy is a kindergarten through sixth grade public school within the Del Mar Union School District. The student researcher will work within classrooms under the supervision of the classroom teacher and school psychologist. The student researcher will assist the pupils in small groups or in a 1-1 setting within the classroom.
Age(s) of Participants
5 to 11 years old.
Orientation Requirement
Orientation is held on the first day the student is onsite.
Check-In Procedure
Sign in and out in the school office.
Research Availability
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Student must complete a portion of hours on Monday or Thursday to correspond with site mentor's days at Del Mar Hills Academy. Additional hours may be completed on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday following site mentor approval. Wednesdays are minimum days with dismissal at 12:30 pm. Observations at site must begin no later than 9:00 am; preferred start time is 8:00 am.
Dress Code
Neat, business casual attire appropriate for an elementary school setting.
Testing Requirements
(1) Letter of Clearance from Field Research Coordinator
(2) TB test
